- Dogen is a Pal that appears on Sakurajima. Stats are fairly high for mid-game.
- Its signature move Wholehearted Stance makes it invincible while in the stance and counterattacks when enemies attack. Invincibility is strong, but it is hard for the player to activate Wholehearted Stance at will, and if the timing is off, you simply stop attacking for a while and often get hit by enemies after the Active Skill's overall recovery time ends. It would have been strong if you could trigger it at will while riding, but Pals cannot match timing on their own, so for now it is mostly a romantic Active Skill.
- When activated, teleports to the nearest base. Cannot be used inside dungeons and similar areas. A very convenient Partner Skill—for example, teleporting on the way home from an adventure when there is no nearby fast travel point, or teleporting home when weight is over capacity so you can ignore weight limits. After using the Partner Skill, a cooldown applies, but returning the Pal to the Palbox once resets the Partner Skill cooldown.
