• •Tropicaw appears in the Sakurajima/Sun Village area. Stats are not especially high, but Active Skills learned by level are quite strong. Watch out for Reflect Leaf and Crosswind when fighting wild ones.
• •Its signature skill Flower Stomp closes in on the enemy, jumps once, then pounces. Because of this behavior, it sometimes misses. Among Grass Active Skills it hits hard, but the move definitely has a learning curve.
• •While in your party, the invincibility window when the player rolls or sidesteps increases. Simply keeping it in your party is enough, so it is very versatile and works even in high-difficulty boss fights like Victor & Palanox. It also stacks with the Phantom Ring, making dodging much easier. That said, if all you need is to prevent the player from going down, Herbil's revive skill may be enough in some cases. Tropicaw's strength is reducing hits through your own skill with no cooldown.
• •At base it works well for Planting and Gathering. Work suitability is slightly low for a late-game Pal, but raising ranks lets it contribute enough. If you like Tropicaw, try strengthening it with Applied Studies.
